Britney Spears?

How many of you believe that Britney Spears music career is dead?Even after the VMA's and releasing her new single "Gimme More" off her new album to hit music stores soon. I think she's finished. I've seen the music video for Gimme More. Not much to rave about.

As long as Britney continues to act the way she is, she'll always have a career. Her new single is actually doing really well so we'll see how long it lasts.

Please - "Gimmie More" should be re-titled as "GIVING Less"...clearly, it is NOT her best effort.





A monkey using Apple's GarageBand could have put that song together with a series of pre-recorded loops.





Now...as for the lyrics, well: it is clear that she is singing about herself.


Remember the song "You're So Vein"?


Well, instead of Carly Simon singing about the vanity of someone else, we have Britney singing about her own self-induced vanity.

Reply:Britney rocks. She may not be perfect right now but she will make a comeback and it will be huge and she will make you eat your words
Reply:her career and her fame have little to do with her music at this point. as long as she keeps acting the way she does - assuming she doesn't take herself to an early grave - she'll continue to have marginal success. she will probably never be what she once was, though.

Reply:Britney Spears career is over to me. Its kinda sad because (not that I was ever a BIG fan) her career in the beginning was good. I've always enjoyed her performances, and her songs were catchy (I've even liked some of them) but after seeing her perform in the VMA's (which I actually set a reminder to watch just to see her perform), I knew right then and there her career went downhill (even though we all knew that even before the VMA flop, I mean seriously, why else would everyone be so anxious to see her perform for the VMA). We all had our hopes for her but deep down inside, this was expected.
Reply:Yes. Because after her bad attitude and bad publicity, people wouldn't want to buy her album. And now she's not even singing, it's more like whispering- learnt from Paris, probably.
